Q : What is Ink As Art?

A : Our mission at Ink As Art is to promote the work of artists by making their work available in poster form. Our posters are printed on high-quality media with pigmented inks in a tightly-controlled color workflow. All reproductions are approved by the artists for color accuracy.

Q : What size posters do you offer?

A : The large posters are either 18"x24" or 20"x24", dependent upon the proportion of the artwork. Small posters are 12"x16", and desktop posters are 8"x10".

Q : What finishes are available for prints?

A : Posters are available in matte or lustre finishes. The finish is determined by Ink As Art, to compliment the original art.

Q : What is rePOSit?

A : rePOSit is a repositionable adhesive-backed fabric. It can be applied to any clean, dry surface and leaves no marks or residue. For product specifications and MSDS sheets please contact us.

Q : How does the artist commission work?

A : Ink As Art pays the artists $8.00 for every large poster print of their work sold. Small poster sales pay $4.00 commission each, and desktop prints pay $2.00 per sale.

Q : Does an artist have to pay to participate?

A : NO. Once the art is digitized and the poster is designed, there are no further costs to the artist. Hosting is free.

Q : How will my order ship?

A : Large and small posters ship via Priority Mail, in a tube mailer. Desktop posters ship flat in Priority Mail Envelopes.

Q : How quickly will my order ship?

A : Your order will normally ship within 2 business days.

Q : How does the shipping and handling fee work?

A : We will package up to 5 poster prints in one tube or envelope, with just 1 S&H charge. Six or more posters will be packed 5 to a package, with the S&H fees charged on a per package basis.

Q : What if I do not like the poster once I receive it?

A : Send it back undamaged. The purchase price will be refunded once it is received. Shipping and handling will not be refunded unless it was our error.

Q : Do you accept any other form of payment besides PayPal?

A : Currently, no.

Q : Who owns the copyrights?

A : Ink As Art owns the copyright for the POSTERS. The image copyright remains with the artist. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO LIFT THE IMAGES FROM THE SITE! We are working to support our artists, not steal from them.

Q : Can I get commercial images through Ink As Art?

A : No, we do not offer imagery other than that created by our participating artists.
